    IKO Pacific in Sumas, WA is seeking an on-site Plant HR and Administrative Coordinator.

    The Plant HR and Administrative Coordinator will be directly responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR, Payroll and benefits administration activities.  This position will also assist with administrative requirements to support the plant and reports to the Plant Manager and the Regional HR Manager.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Partner in the effective execution of the plant strategies to meet business goals, and provide feedback and support on all employee related issues at the site.
    • May develop and propose improvement to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of human resources and safety.
    • Resolving minor employee issues and conflict resolution.
    • Administers the benefits program for employees in the plant.
    • Responsible for claims management including WSIB, Short Term Disability and the Return to Work program
    • Advise employees and management personnel on the interpretation of Company policies, programs and procedures.
    • Carries out administrative work related to human resource functions and maintains related records.
    • Accountable for full-cycle recruiting and on-boarding for hourly employees
    • Oversee Kronos timekeeping and payroll administration
    • Coordinates all site recognition and social events
    • Assist the Plant H&S Department with administrative duties
    • Other duties as may be assigned

    Qualifications:

    • The ability to organize the workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
    • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities in an environment of rapid change
    • Use of Microsoft Office products at an advanced level
    • Professional designation in Human Resources
    • Minimum of 5 years in a generalist role within a manufacturing environment.
    • Sound knowledge of employment, industrial labor relations, and occupational safety legislation

    Northwest Indian College is seeking a Human Resources Director to join our team on the Lummi Campus.

    The Human Resources Director, under the general direction of the College President, is primarily responsible for developing, directing and overseeing the College’s comprehensive human resources management program. The Director serves as a member of the College’s Administrative Team and Leadership Team. The Director works directly with the College’s Administrative Team to plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resource practices, personnel policies and strategic goals for the human resources department consistent with the mission and goals of the College and in accordance with employment laws and regulations. This position requires diverse human resources and organizational development skills to effectively oversee and/or perform a variety of HR functions.
