The current opportunity in being advertised as a 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) but candidates desiring to work 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) or more are encourage to apply. This position is required to work 20 hours per week and depending on the successful candidates scheduling preference and availability can be scheduled up to 40 hours per week.

    Skagit Valley College is seeking a Human Resource Consultant, Employee Processing located at our campus in Mount Vernon, WA. 

    The Human Resource Consultant works in partnership with the HR team to provide a wide range of high-volume, electronic and paper-based employment records processing and onboarding of new staff. This position will have primary responsibility for entering employment information into the current Payroll/HRIS system known as ctcLink (PeopleSoft), the talent acquisition system NEOGOV, the WA State PAY1 system, and other supporting databases and tracking systems using software tools like Excel.  Daily duties include reviewing, entering, tracking, filing and maintenance of employee onboarding, change, termination, benefit, retirement, leave, contract, and job record paperwork.  The position will also work closely with the Talent Acquisition Generalist to process employment requisitions, post positions, screen applicants and assist in the on-boarding of new hires.  The incumbent will also help facilitate new hire paperwork sessions for new employees and will manage processing for volunteers.
