AJAC (Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee) is a state registered apprenticeship training program for ALL advanced manufacturing industries. We offer a number of occupational apprenticeships including Machining and Industrial Maintenance. As a non-profit, state-funded organization, we work with both union and non-union shops but AJAC itself is not affiliated and therefore no ask whatsoever to join a union. AJAC partners with community and technical colleges across the state to offer accredited courses (related supplemental instruction) to enhance the on-the-job-training apprentices receive while working at their employer. During this roundtable you will hear about several opportunities currently offered, and soon-to-be offered, in Whatcom County.

In addition to hearing about the exciting programs you can implement to skill-up your current workforce, as well as recruit, you will hear from Jeff and Mason Grey of on incorporating lean manufacturing methods in your company operations to improve performance and reduce costs. Lean / Six Sigma is a method that relies on a collaborative team effort to improve performance.
