Sustainable Connections, in partnership with the Community Food Co-op, will host the 2019 Smart Business Summit on March 28th.

Event keynote, Monique Stefens, will speak to the economics of inclusion and explore the trends, research, and best practices around the sustainability of your largest asset, people. Whether you are a sole proprietor or own a large organization, your staff and customer retention is likely connected to your ability to adapt. Learn how to create a meaningful workplace to attract and retain employees and benefit our community at the same time.

The Local Leaders Business Panel will show how bold action can lead to better success. Hear from L.K. Langley, Western Washington’s LGBTQ+ Director, So Youn Rivera, Healthy Pet’s Quality Assurance Manager, Jenn Mason, Owner of Wink Wink, and Amanda Grelock; the Community Food Co-op’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Coordinator.

During the Defining Your Quadruple Bottom Line Workshop, businesses can learn about the 4th pillar of sustainability and identify next steps their business can take. The Summit will be the kickoff event for the 2019 Business Leadership Series, shorter workshops that will be held quarterly after the Summit.  With inspiring speakers, powerful panelists, and valuable insights, this is a business event not to miss!

This event is made possible by support from the Community Food Co-op, Healthy Pet, and Business Support Services Northwest.
