    How do you find, interpret and use labor market data in making your hiring and compensation decisions? What services do Employment Security Department and WorkSource offer to assist human resource professionals in managing their talent? Are there collaboration opportunities to build and maintain a healthy economy and skilled workforce? Join us for a conversation with Dr. Anneliese Vance-Sherman and Sandra K Kint about local labor market conditions and response strategies.

    Presented by:  Anneliese Vance-Sherman and Sandra K Klint, Employment Security Department

    Anneliese Vance-Sherman has served as a regional labor economist for the Employment Security Department for seven years. She covers Island, King, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish and Whatcom counties. Anneliese works closely with economic and workforce development partners, and serves as a board member of the Pacific Northwest Regional Economic Conference. Prior to state service, she was a visiting fellow at the Border Policy Research Institute at Western Washington University. Anneliese has a Ph.D. in economic geography and a master’s degree in economics both from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

    Sandra K Kint has over 25 years’ experience in program development and administration in rural communities of the Olympic Peninsula with a focus on workforce development and sustainability in a wide range of fields; economic development, education, social services, corrections and the arts. She currently works for Employment Security Department in the Skagit, Whatcom and Whidbey WorkSource Centers on a pilot project designed to enhance our services by strengthening existing, and fostering new relationships between employers, educational institutions and the more highly skilled job seeker for the best employer/employee match.

    Registration and lunch begin at 11:45, and include time for networking with other members and chapter announcements. The presentation/program begins around 12:00pm and lasts until approximately 1:30pm (includes a question/answer period).

    Cancellation policy: Registrants will be billed the full price of the event if a cancellation is not received by 5:00 pm on the Monday prior to the luncheon.
