The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has vast implications for US organizations in attracting, retaining and rewarding their employees. This session reviews the key provisions of the ACA, and how it impacts small and large employers differently. We will discuss how HR professionals can and should lead the strategic planning process with the C-suite to assess your total rewards philosophy, and how legal compliance with the ACA impacts your compensation and benefits strategies. We will also provide a starting point for you to guide your organization through the process of planning, communicating, and implementing the changes required by the ACA for 2014 and beyond.
Key Topics:
- Key provisions of the ACA
- Explanation of what "Play or Pay" means for small and large employers
- Foundational concepts in leading the strategic planning discussion with the C-suite to comply with the ACA
- Key considerations in how the ACA impacts your organization’s ability to attract, retain and reward your employees
- Next steps in complying with the ACA for 2014 and beyond
