Becoming an Integrated HR Business Partner: Using a Coaching Approach to Increase Your Influence
May 1, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to noon
HRCI Credits Pending!
Speaker: Claudia Malone, SPHR, HR Consultant and Trainer
Despite the public perception that HR “hires and fires,” we know that HR is most effective as a true business partner when we take a consulting approach. In that role you can increase your level of influence by coaching versus telling others what to do, by guiding organization leadership and others to reach conclusions on their own. In this dynamic workshop, we’ll explore the nuts-and-bolts of coaching and how you can use those skills to heighten your influence with senior management, peers and employees.
We’ll also review the other important skills for a successful HR Business Partner…analytical ability, accountability systems, courage, ability to see the big picture, and the sources and use of power. Most importantly, the workshop will redirect your focus to solutions and results from the organization’s point of view.
Join us for this interactive workshop where you will have the opportunity to develop in and practice influential conversations in real workplace scenarios.
