Health Care Reform, Get On Board Workshop

Brought to you by Employee Benefits Planning L.L.C.

On June 28, 2012, the US Supreme Court upheld the health care reform law, often referret to as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). PPACA makes extensive changes to the U.S. health care system with the goal of reducing the uninsured population and decreasing health care costs. There are many looming PPACA requirements that will be implemented over the next several years.

You may have read that there will be delays to the enactment. Washington State is acutally ahead of the game and is intending to be ready with the Individual and Employer Coverage Mandate and the implementation of the WA State Healthcare Exchange on January 1, 2014. Through participation in our workshop you will find out what you need to know now. In the fall, we will plan two additional workshops to share updated information.

Join us for our informative workshops in Mount Vernon and Bellingham that will feature topics on the Washington Health Benefit Exchange, the Whatcom Alliance for Health Advancement, the Skagit County Alliance for Healtcare Access, the financial implications of the PPACA and the latest information.
