As your organization grows larger, you need to rely on your frontline managers to serve as your "HR frontline". Well trained managers can be an extension of your HR department when it comes to solving employee relations issues, dealing with disciplinary situations and serving as mentors to junior supervisors. This has huge benefits to the organization so HR can focus on larger, more strategic talent management initiatives. Equipping managers with an HR skillset can have great ROI for the HR department. In this session, we'll talk about how to achieve this goal and extend the HR reach within the organization.
Specifically we'll talk about:
- How to train managers in important skills development for success
- Identifying opportunities in your organization to extend "HR activity" to managers
- Getting executive support and buy in for extending "HR responsibilities" to managers
- Teaching managers how and when to engage HR in employee situations
About the Presenter: Stacey Carroll, M.B.A., CCP, SPHR
Stacey is co-founder of Soariti Talent Group. She is a highly-regarded presenter and educator at major HR conferences and in other online HR webinar series. Ms. Carroll earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), and Master's in Business Administration (MBA). She has worked in human resources for the last 14 years at companies such as Payscale, Nordstrom, Trendwest Resorts, CH2M Hill and Western Washington University. Ms. Carroll has held numerous roles with increasing responsibility within human resources and has expertise in benefits and compensation administration, employee relations, training and development, management coaching, management consulting and leadership development.
