Effective strategy preparation skills are essential for HR and business professionals. This presentation emphases the development of organizational strategies and most importantly implementation of those strategies. Effective Strategic Planning provides a structure for developing a strategic planning process and decision making. The presentation includes a discussion of what encompasses "strategy" and a practical strategic process framework.
About the Presenter: Dan Purdy translates uncommon sense into practical methods for professional and personal success. Spanning the world of practice and research, Purdy teaches Marketing Management, Marketing Principles, Consumer Behavior, Integrated Marketing Communications, Lean Startup and Innovation to MBAs and undergraduates in the Western College of Business and Economics as well as being the Director of Western’s Community Development office; The Front Door to Discovery.
Purdy has more than 20 years of Management, Marketing and Project Management experience including 6 years as Associate Director of the Western MBA Program. In addition to his MBA Program and teaching duties, Purdy served in various project management roles for the College of Business and Economics including strategic planning, brand development, marketing communications, website redesign and event management. Prior to his MBA Purdy worked in the Electrical Power Industry, both in civilian, co-generation power plants, as well as a submarine-based Nuclear Reactor Operator, on ballistic missile submarines, for the United States Navy.
Dan graduated from Western Washington University with both his MBA, and BA in Marketing, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Golden Key and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies.

Registration and lunch begin at 11:45, and include time for networking with other members and chapter announcements. The presentation/program begins around 12:00pm and lasts until approximately 1:30pm (includes a question/answer period).
Cancellation policy: Registrants will be billed the full price of the event if a cancellation is not received by 5:00 pm on the Monday prior to the luncheon.
